H1b holder change name after I-140 approval

I recently went for Passport renewal and I was asked to update my name as per Aadhar.
my Aadhar has my father name as middle name which is not on passport.
If I update my name on passport will it affect my approved I-140 application and green card processing?
All the other documents are as per Aadhar so I am little hesitant to change my name in Aadhar.

If you change the name, you can create a same name affidavit and submit with your green card application in future.

Create one and same person name Affidavit Online - prove that multiple names in different documents belong to same person.

Thank you for you response.

It will not affect my future visa extensions based on i-140 right?

Because approved i-140 is on my old name.

While filing extension, provide the following:

  • A letter explaining the change; and
  • Supporting documentation of the change (legal proof)

You can also try Emailing USCIS-updategenderinfo@uscis.dhs.gov** and request to change your name or gender marker or both. Include all legal proofs that you can. This applies specifically to pending applications like I-765/I-485/I-131 etc. But you can give it a shot.
