H1B to H4 EAD without any work gap?

I am on H1B visa and currently working in New Jersey. My H1B is maxing out on July 07,2025. My company is not doing I140 and asking me to return India on March 2025.
My Wife is on H1B Visa and has I140 approved. Her current Visa is valid till may 2025 and she is about to do H1B Extension

so now I would like to switch to H4 EAD to continue working in US and stay with my family.

Please suggest me How and when to switch to H4 EAD from H1B for my case and while switching, will I be getting any work gap? if so, what would be approximate gap in work.it would be help for my planning.

It is practically not possible to avoid a work gap.

You can file H4 COS and EAD along with it.

The other option is to go out of US, get H4 visa stamp, return to US and then file EAD.
