H1B visa renewal stamping with previous Public Intoxication Case

@starlight - I am in the same exact situation and wanted to ask if we need to select “yes” again in DS-160 for the que below and have to go through the process again?

  • Have you ever been arrested or convicted for any offense or crime, even though subject of a pardon, amnesty, or other similar action?

Did you select yes and explain the details again?

@Anup_Agrawal @sam_M5
Im in the same boat with a public intoxication charge. I have a valid stamp from before the incident though, and have upcoming travel. Can you let me know if

  1. You re entered US with an existing stamp
  2. Did you face any questions at poe regarding this case while entering with either the new stamp or existing stamp?
    Any information you can share will be super helpful, thanks!

@Rohit_2 @starlight pls let me know your experience at poe as well if possible.

1 - Went for stamping after the case was dismissed, had to go interview and do the Medical evaluation thing

2- No questions been in and out many times after that. But it’s been almost 3 years now.

3- Did stamping again in Mex last December too. ( every case is different ) tho.

Thanks @sam_M5 this is very helpful. Others, please share your experiences too. Based on that, I can decide whether I will need to move this trip or not.

@No_enthusiasm - Hey, i entered all information accurately and also mentioned that previously have submitted the report so for 2nd time stamping they didn’t ask me for medical evaluation, and it got approved without any issues.

At POE, they always take me back and ask questions about it but i come out quickly so as long as the case was dismissed and you are carrying all documents related to the case, you should be fine..
