H4 and H4 EAD is expiring months before spouse H1B expiry date

Hello,

I have a tricky situation my H4 and H4 EAD is expiring on Feb 2026 and my spouse h1b is expiring on end of 2026. Planning to apply for h4 and EAD extension. I have below questions.

  1. If I apply for EAD extension and still my i94 is valid(i.e expiring on Feb 2026) so am I eligible for Auto extension.technically I am applying EAD extension before my current i94 is expiring.

  2. can we apply both H4 and EAD online together. Or only H4 can apply online currently and EAD need to fill by paper( read somewhere that can’t apply EAD extension online) or do you suggest both applications by paper together.

  1. You need to have H4 i94 valid even after EAD has expired to be eligible for EAD auto extension.
  2. I suggest to file both on paper.

I reviewed my records again and noticed that my I-94 is valid until March 4, 2026, which is later than my current H4 and H4 EAD expiry in February 2026. Based on this, I’d like to clarify a few points:

  1. Since the I-94 validity extends beyond the H4/EAD expiration date, do i qualify for the H4 EAD automatic extension rule?

  2. You had earlier suggested doing a bundle paper filing (H4, H4 EAD). I plan to use your online app(Apps.AM22TECH) to complete the H4 extension and EAD forms, and then submit everything together as a paper bundle. Since this is my first time using your app, could you point out any pain points or common areas where mistakes usually happen, so I can be extra careful while filling out the forms?

  3. If we go with the bundle paper submission, could you please confirm:
    The correct USCIS lockbox mailing address, and
    The current filing fees for Form I-539 (H4 extension) and Form I-765 (H4 EAD)?
