I filed for my EAD renewal in April 2025, 6 months before my EAD card expired (Sept 2025) and am allowed to work until my i94 expired which is Aug 2026 based on the prior auto extension rule (This is still pending).
However, I received a new H4 extension (I-539) last month (June 2026) which further extended my H4 status to 2029.
My question is if I can now fully extend my automatic extension to 540 days from my EAD card expiration (upto March 2027) or is the last date of work eligibility still tied to my original i94 that I had used when I applied for my EAD renewal last year?
