H4 Status and I94 expired and exactly left USA on 180th day and planning to attend in person interview in the home country

Hi All, my wife is currently on H4 status and her I94 got expired and she is out of status and we came to know about this on 180th day and she left USA on 180th day (not more than 180 days to get 3year ban from USA). We are planning to attend for VISA stamping now. Can someone guide me what will be the situation now if my wife goes for dropbox, is anyone on the same boat. please pour your inputs as this is making me tensed and nervous.
DS160 Form: what I need to fill in for the overstay question, please suggest.
