H4EAD Renewal Inprogress I94 is valid - Am I authorized to work?

Hi All… Need suggestion/feedback
I am holding H4 Visa and I94 valid (not expired). My EAD expired in 2018 and i have currently applied for H4 EAD extension / renewal. Can i work or authorized to work based on I94?

You cannot work until your get an H4 EAD approval.
