Hi, My Initial 485 was filed from Employer A for SOC Code 15-1121 in 2013, This Code is no longer active.
Now I am preparing to submit my 485J with the information related to my new employer (Since 2023) and as the SOC Code 15-1211 is no longer valid, my latest 485J is referencing to SOC Code 15-1211 which is classified as the replacement code for 15-1121. Is this good or should i request my attorney to submit a cover letter explaining this change in Code.
My attorney has reviewed my form 485J last year and confirmed that 15-1211 is the correct replacement code, but has not provided any information related to a cover letter.
I am reaching out to this forum as i was not able to get a response from the attorney yet on this question(FYI my 485J was prepared in Jul 2025 and i did not send it in yet). I am awaiting my attorneys response to refill the form with the latest date.
