I was on OPT and had applied change of status to H4. I am employed on OPT, but I got to know status approval after a week from date they approved H4. So that means a week I worked on H4 as status was changed a week ago, is it allowed or okay? What is rule for this kind of case?

There is no specific guidance however it is the beneficiary’s responsibility to track the change of status and stop working on OPT as on the date of change of status to H4.
The one week of work on OPT you performed after the H4 COS approval may or may not create issues in future. I wont worry till such time come and then respond to any USCIS RFEs based on facts.
