Hi Anil,

My spouse and me are in a tough spot and need your advise.

I am principal H1B holder and I have a valid visa till July 11 2025. My Wife also has valid H4 visa till July 11 2025. We are in process of filing extension now with premium processing. However, my wife got i94 only till March 25 2024 and we didnt notice that.

What would be the best way forward? Is it to just file H4 extension with NPT ?

Could you please help with response? Sorry for the urgency but i just realized today while preparing the application that my wife’ i94 has expired.

Now, I am also reading that there is no premium processing on h4 extension (bundling with premium h1b visa extension). This is making us very anxious. Due to health reasons my wife is unable to leave the usa now. Please help at the earliest.

Anil just replied on another thread about the 2 options for a similar case.

If your wife is unable to leave due to health reasons, I think it may be a good option to contact your employer’s immigration attorney for guidance.

If your wife is unable to leave US, then, file H4 extension with NPT.

But, if NPT is denied, she will have to leave.

So, plan accordingly.
