Currently I am on H4 EAD and will move to H1B effective1st Oct 2023 with employer X. I got to know this week that employer X will be acquired by another company employer B.
DO i need to have my H1B amended/transferred? I797 has name of employer X at this moment. Please guide.

It depends on how the acquisition happens on paper.
If the new company is acquiring everything including the liabilities, they may not be required to refile the visa amendments.
Your employer’s attorney will be able to tell how the acquisition terms have been decided and written for visa purposes.
