Hi Anil, @Anil.Gupta
First of all thanks for creating this wonderful portal to provide valuable information like this.
Coming to my question, My wife entered US with F1b, she later got her H1b (but didn’t go India for stamping) and now her H1b extension is pending.
Problem is her contract got recently ended and her I94 and H1b got expired already.
Can she travel to Mexico if she wants to change her status as H4 ? Please reply.

Hi @Venkat_M
Change of visa type stamping is not allowed in Mexico. You can go to Canada though.

@Anil.Gupta Thanks! If she goes to school again on F1, can she go travel to Mexico for stamping?

@Anil.Gupta I have already read that. But my only question is she worked on H1b for 3 years. isn’t it really matters?

Hi @Venkat_M
I just told you the rule that’s followed by US embassy in Mexico.
You are just trying to ask the same question using different angles. It is your choice to believe it or not.
They don’t care how long you have worked or not.

In recent times, some people are telling that F1 to H1B stamping is allowed in Mexico for Indian Nationals , is it true?
