Is NOC required for Nepali passport holder for entering Australia from India?

Hi Anil and team,

Greetings for the day.

Quick question:
My wife is a Nepali passport holder and I am Indian citizen. She is dependent on my 190 PR visa and she will be travelling with me for first entry in Aus.

Does she require an NOC letter to enter Melbourne from Mumbai while travelling?

Thanks in advance

No, your wife (Nepali passport holder) most likely does NOT require a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to enter Melbourne, Australia from Mumbai, India when traveling with you on your 190 PR visa.

Australian immigration requirements for Nepali citizens transiting through India are based on their destination in Australia and visa status. Since your wife is traveling with you on your PR visa and her final destination is Australia, an NOC is not typically required.

For more certainty, you can refer to the official Australian immigration website (https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/) or contact the nearest Australian embassy/consulate for the latest information.

Thanks Lisa… appreciate your reply

For your wife, being a dependent on your 190 PR visa, she generally won’t need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for traveling with you from Mumbai to Melbourne. However, it’s always a good idea to check with the airline and immigration authorities to ensure you have all necessary documentation for a smooth journey. Safe travels to you both!
