Hello All,

I am in the process of getting my L1 application done. I also wanted to take my wife along with me. For L2 Visa, we just need to fill up DS160 for us both and schedule an interview appointment, that’s the process right. We don’t need any application for L2 visa from employer right?

L2 is a dependent visa and they don’t need their own I-797 approval. L2 can use copy of primary L1 I-797 along with other L2 documents to get their visa stamped. Once in the US, L2 will need to apply for extension of status within 180 days of expiry of their I-94.
