I am in the process of renewing my indian passport from USA. I have submitted the government application form, but realized that I had some mistakes in it. I see there is no option to delete the submitted form. Can I submit a new application form and pay the fee from the new application and ignore the old application?
FYI, I have not paid the passport fee yet.
Hi, I sent an email to VFS global and below is the reply I received from them.
"
Dear Applicant,
Once you submit the application, no corrections can be made. If it was just your parents name, you can provide supporting documents for the change or provide consent letter to edit. Emergency contact details cannot be edited. You may please fill a new application and submit to VFS with all the required documents.
"
So, I ended up submitting another application with the correct details. Hope this will help someone in future.
I got following Remarks: they have my passport so should k just send the new application with feee and other paperwork?
Your application is being returned unprocessed as you did not select ‘’Change of Personal Particulars’’ on the passport government form, whereas you requested TO ADD THE SPOUSE’S NAME ON THE NEW PASSPORT. Send original passport back. Please don’t send this application again to the VFS office. Fill out a new application and pay the fee again. You shall receive a refund in the next 10-15 days’ time
