My present address and passport address are different. I have supporting documents for both addresses. Which address should I mention on pcc application??

It is better to provide the address proof for the address that’s mentioned in your passport. This will help avoid any physical police verification.

Indian government has changed the policy and now police verification is required for all cases irrespective of last police verification or the passport issue date.
But you mentioned, if someone applied after Jan 2018, police verification will still happen.
I think it was an example date. If the passport was issued on Jan 2005, then after 13 years - the verification will still happen.
