Name missing from birth certificate

Hi, My spouse have birth certificate (in Hindi), but her name is missing. What are my options? please guide

  1. get birth certificate from VFS Global, Dallas - using passport and other required documents as per the instructions. I think not, as mentioned in 1st FAQ here - Birth Certificate, substitutes, NABC for USA Green Card, Australia, Canada PR - USA “Can I use a Birth Certificate issued by the Indian Embassy in the USA?”
  2. Use the birth certificate as-is with affidavit from parents and family members. As mentioned in one of the FAQ, I can use it:
“My birth certificate does not have my name, my parent’s name spelling is wrong or the last name is missing. Can I use it?“
But as per this post response from Anil - I 485 RFE to submit birth certificate - I think I can not.

Get the birth certificate translated to English.
Write the name of the spouse on birth certificate by hand.

Get two birth certificate affidavits and then submit with the birth certificate (hindi)+english translation.

thank you @anil_am22 for your detailed response.
one clarification on “Write the name of the spouse on birth certificate by hand.“ the space on the birth certificate where the name should be written - this is written (in Hindi) “koi nahi likha gaya“. So this is not a option. My bad, I should have mentioned this in the post.

Will get affidavit from both parents. Is it better to add one more (third) affidavit from uncle (Chacha).
