My spouse and I completed our DS-160 forms, and I, as the primary applicant, created the U.S. visa scheduling account and added my spouse as a dependent to pay the visa fees for both of us. Due to the ongoing chaos with appointment availability and rescheduling, I, as the H-1B holder, unable to travel to India and am currently stuck without any available appointments.
However, because of my wife’s father’s deteriorating health condition, she now needs to travel to India urgently. Given this situation, do we need to create a separate U.S. visa scheduling account using my wife’s credentials and pay the visa fee again to look for available appointment slots? Or is it possible to reuse the existing account—where the visa fees for both of us have already been paid—and book an appointment only for her?
