Passport initiated for Print but got email about PV

Hi All,

My passport renewal status shows “Print has been initiated for passport.” But got an email for Police verification. The email says
You are requested to get in touch with the respective Police Office if verification is not done in three weeks.

Do we need to reach the police station and clear this or will the Police station initiate the verification?

Either of the two works. Your friend/family can reach out to the concerned Police Station to get the verification done; or, wait for police to contact the number you provided in your application.
