Passport Renewal. Adding Spouse Name Issue

Hi all!
I recently created my application passport seva and then paid for vfs service for my application.
I got married a few years ago and wanted to add my spouse’s name to my passport but I just noticed that I forgot to check the “Spouse Name” option under “CHANGE IN EXISTING PERSONAL PARTICULARS”.
I have paid for the vfs service but I have not sent out my physical package yet.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this? or Should I re-create my application and re-apply at VFS?
Any suggestion/help would be appreciated.

My original solution was to create a new application on passport seva. And then reapply with the new ARN on vfs.
I can request refund on my first application later.

Hey, did the same mistake. I have not sent the physical package yet, but did you ultimately create a new application on passport seva? and again paid the fees at the VFS website? if so, did you ask for refund before or after filing the new application?

I did the same mistake, what did you guys ended by doing? Submitting new application or did it worked with same application?
