PCC for Canada from India with different current and permanent address

Hello there,

I am applying for Canadian PR. I have been living in Canada for the past 3 years and now I need a police clearance certificate from India.
The issue I have is that my permanent address on the passport is different than my current Indian address as my family moved to a new place.

I am currently on a short vacation to India and am staying at the current place. However, all my Indian documents have the old address mentioned on them. There is no one at the old address that can do the verification.

How should I apply for the PCC now? Do the Canadian govt. need PCC of the same address as mentioned on the passport? or current address is fine?

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you

Canadian government does not care about address. They just need PCC issued by Indian government.

The passport office will look at the address and will do a physical police verification if the current address is different than printed address in passport.

I suggest to apply PCC with Indian embassy in Canada as it will be easier.
