Perm and H1B extension

When a H1B got approved additional one year beyond six years including current leftover period in six years.

  1. if I change the employer, the additional year will be voided?
  2. If the new employer files a PERM, then can I use the additional one year?
    I do not want to change the current employer but there could be potential reduce in workforce.
