Hello @Anil_Gupta
I have a question w.r.t the following article.
https://www.am22tech.com/indian-citizenship-us-born-child/#:~:text=Indian%20Embassy%20allows%20getting%20Indian,cannot%20renounce%20kid’s%20US%20citizenship.&text=A%20child%20born%20in%20the%20US%20is%20automatically%20eligible%20for%20US%20citizenship.&text=The%20kid%20is%20a%20US,apply%20for%20his%20Indian%20passport.
Consider the following scenario.
- Kid born in USA
- Birth registered with Indian Consulate in USA
- Obtained Indian Passport
- Travelled to India with Parents (Parents on H1B and H4 Visas respectively)
Question1: Is it possible to obtain H4 Visa for a kid possessing Indian passport, but has a birth certificate from USA? Or is the kid ineligible to enter the US without US passport?
Question2: Do Indian Consulates provide birth certificates when a child’s birth is registered with them?
Thank you so much for your support as always.
Regards,
Subramanian
