Relation with the root Indian?

Hi,

Filling out OCI form for my mother who was born in India however now lives in Canada and is a citizen of Canada and Indian passport was surrendered.

What option would I select for her under “Relation with root Indian?” general options given is father, mother, grand father/mother and self.

I assumed it would be self but I want to be sure.

Is your mother does not have any other close relative in India, then i think you can choose self.

All of my mothers side immediate family and fathers side are all in Canada only relatives in India are like third cousins but no immediate family
