Relocating to another Australian state after lodging subclass 190 application

I received a subclass 190 invitation, and I lodged my PR application in Western Australia (WA). I am from India. My occupation is ICT Business Analyst. Currently, I am working with TSS 482 visa. My employer is asking me to relocate to another state. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to resist since I can not easily switch employment until PR (190) is granted. Would relocation to another Australian state affect my subclass 190 application? Please advise. Thank you.

I don’t think it will be affected. You can always claim that employer forced you to move.

Thank you, Anil. Would relocation to India make me ‘an offshore applicant’ and delay the grant?

Congrats on your subclass 190 invitation! Relocating to another state shouldn’t usually affect your application, but it’s important to update WA about your new address. They nominated you based on your commitment to live and work in WA, so keeping them informed is key. Once your PR is granted, you’ll likely still need to fulfill any residency obligations in WA as per the nomination. If you’re unsure, it might be worth checking with WA’s migration services directly.
