Travel back to the US

Hi Anil,
My current H1B expires June 20th, but have an approved extension from 21st.
Q1: With the current situation of slots unavailability, is it a safe bet for me to travel to India in the next couple of weeks and come back around June 10th?

Also, I noticed that my current I-94 is only till June 10th.
Q2: Does this mean I have to leave the country anyway and get the stamping done?

Thanks

Yes this is fine as far as you have a valid H1B visa to enter back to the US. Make sure you present the immigration officer with your current and new I-797 and make sure the I-94 is issued based on the new extension of status.

No, unless your H1B visa is expired and you want to travel back to the US.
