Try to do in 242111 as university tutor is not on the list now. Yes I had to provide proof of research work done during my employment. I gave 4 of my international papers as proof. One of my friend gave 2 International papers but he got negative outcome saying that the quality of the journals are not good.

Can you help me if below is good for submission.Planning for University lecturer skill assessment

1.Colored copies of all academics .Is that in one pdf per qualification and should it be notarized
2.I have form 16 +bank account showing my salary. should it be notarized
3.Any papers or journals do we need to submit.

Hi, I didnā€™t notarize any of my documents. As I said earlier, you have to submit research papers you published in high quality journals during your employment. However, I am not sure how they determine the quality of journals.

Good day. I shall be graduating with a PhD in Philosophy soon, and wish to apply via the 189 stream as per the university lecturer option.

At present, I shall have 85 points once I receive my PhD confirmation. If at the time of my 189 Visa application I am not employed as a university lecturer, but that is the position I want to get employment in, may I still apply for the 189 visa?

Or is the 189 Visa reserved for people who are already employed as a university lecturer?

Hi @danica

189 does not have a condition of active employment at the time of visa grant. You can take up employment after getting 189 visa too.

I have 2 years 9 months experience as University lecturer and have only 1 research publication in International Journal.

I applied in vetassess for skill assessment. what are my chances of getting positive skill assessment from vetassess.

What else should i do in order to increase my chances of getting postive skill assessment

I have got my and my wifeā€™s assessment done via VETASSESS. We both got a positive reply. The minimum requirement of publications is 3. They deduct 1 year as qualifying year from your experience for which you have applied assessment.

Hi My wife was a social work lecturer in sri lanka.she lecturered social work degree awarding Education institute named National institute of social development sri lanka.and she has only one research publication in same institute.please help me on following
01.as she worked in education institute and its not a university can she apply for university lecturer skill assessment Vitassess?

02.If she can apply,will it be enough the only one research publication ?

That should be within employment or if we publish nearly that mean after the employment period will that be accepted ?

I am not sure about your query, but the publications in our case were during the period of employment and I had mentioned the affiliations for that in my resume. What I feel is that publications made after the employment period would not be considered due to lack of affiliation. Moreover, the criteria for assessment for University Lecturer is Academic plus Research. In your case how will you prove that you have research experience during your employment, because research experience is proved only through publications.

I will be applying for skill assessment as a University Lecturer. I have done Masters & Bachelors in Dentistry.

Wanted to ask if payslips with mode of payment cash are valid in this occupation? 2 years in cash and 2 years in cheque. What documents are required to prove my payment evidence?

My Income tax returns were not filled for initial 2 years so donā€™t have taxation records.
