I have a couple of questions regarding renewing my passport and adding my spouse’s name after getting married. Here’s the situation:
My passport is expiring in December 2024, and my visa will expire in September 2024. I’m considering renewing my passport through the tatkal service. Does anyone have any experience with this process? Is it recommended?
In our marriage certificate, it states that my spouse’s name has been changed from “Kumari ABC” to “Kumari DEF,” which is my surname. However, we would prefer for her to keep her original surname without any changes. Would this create any problems, considering the information in the marriage certificate? I’m planning to provide her passport copy with her self attestation as proof for old surname.
