USA Phone number instead of India number

Hi, I incorrectly put down my USA phone number instead of a number in India. Will this cause any issues?
Has anybody done this and had any issues with the police clearance?

They may call/message on WhatsApp… Else, once you get notice about initiation of Police verification, ask your relative in India to reach out to the Police Station. You can also get number of that Police station, call them and explain your situation.
