What happens to the dependent h4 if the principal applicant travel out of USA

Hi ,

I filed for my H4 along with my son(filled as dependent) H4 extension and my H4 EAD on May 1st.

I travelled to El Paso crossed the border and got my I94 extended so that I can continue working past my status expiry ( Aug).

I got an RFE for my EAD and after submitting all the requested document it got approved on Oct.

My H4 and my son petition is still pending with USCIS.I read somewhere that my petition will be VOID as I travelled out of US.My question is will my Son h4 extension will be considered VOID too??

Your son’s application should be approved even if yours is voided or denied.

You will be fine as you have already got a new extended H4 i94.
