Working for a Canadian client on H1B in USA for US employer

Hi, I am currently in US on a H1b working for a US based company on its payroll. I am working for one of its US clients remotely and my assignment with this client is ending soon.

I got a remote position with a client that is based out of Canada in the same company which I want to pursue.

Since this is remote position, can I still work in US on H1b on US payroll for a Canada based client with an amendment.

My company is currently looking out for options to either file a H1b amendment with my US home address as work location or file a Canada work permit. But, I have only 4 months left on my US visa.

The client can be anywhere doesn’t matter as far as your employer sponsoring your H1B is a US entity.
Your LCA need to reflect the address you will work from and the wages should be inline with DOL job classification.
