I have submitted EOI on 5th Nov 2019 with 75 points for 261313 software engineer.
With the new rule after 16th November, my points would be 80 (+5 points for Competent English for Spouse)
Any hint on by when I can get an Invite for 189 visa with 80 points for 261313 software engineer?

My answer is based on your total points. If you have 85 points now, you will get invite in next draw.
If your points will increase after Nov 16, then you have good chance in next draw.

@Anil.Gupta I think i wrote in a way that wasnāt quite clear, apologies. I do not have 85 right now. I will have 85 points after November 16. Maybe by Jan/Feb 2020. So based on the new Nov 16 rules what are my chances with 85 points after Nov 16 for 2613 code?
As of now Iām at 70 but i will get extra points for spouse English 8+ year experience and naati which will take me to 85 in the next year. So Iām curious whether 85 would still be a decent score after these new Nov 16 rules

@Anil.Gupta Sorry for asking again but can you tell about score of 85 for code 2613 after the new Nov 16 changes have kicked in? Is it a good score, or just average score? How much wait etc ?
Thanks much Anil. Really appreciate quick turn around on query. I had one more query if you can help please. My wife submitted EOI on Aug 8, 2019 with 80 points which is going to be 85 post Nov 16th. I was expecting a invite in current draw which We did not get and seems low number of invite this month too (from ISACH) Can you advise when we can expect it now? Is Dec/Jan a possibility?

I had to update my 189 expression back in October this year for 261313. The total amount of points changed so the date of effect changed.
After November 16th ill have 85 points, is there an estimate on how long it would take to receive an invite?

I have submitted my EOI for 189 type visa on 31 March 2019 with 70 points for software engineer profession. Today because of the rule change, my total points changed to 80.
Do you think I have chances of getting invited before my EOI gets expired?

You have good chance of invite with 80 points but there may be a waiting period of about 2-3 months before you get an invite.

I have been following your blogs for some time now, it was very helpful. This is my first post here.
My ACS is successful and EOI is applied with 70 points for 189 subclass, with recent spouse point addition on Nov 16th. My Job Code is 231313-Software engineer. Will get additional +5 points on March 2020 for experience.
After Nov 16th change, what is the expected wait time for my skill set in 189 category.
Also, since wait time has been updated by Australia to 36 months, but actual ACS assessment is valid only for 24 months, how does this work. If possible can you explain.

The chance of invite with 70 points are low. I suggest to find ways to increase your points to at-least 75 or 80 to have any realistic chance.
The ACS will expire and you will need a new once if you donāt get an invitation before ACS expires.
After November 16 update, My points reaches to 80, so till when i can expect my invite for software engineer category, Victoria
There is no fixed time for state invites. They can send it anytime. You have good chance of invite.

Thank you for the clear information available on your site, it helps a lot. I wanted to ask about your estimation for my case.
I submitted my EOI in July2018 and after the recent changes in Nov2019, my points have increased to 75 for category 2613 for 189 and to 80 for 190 for NSW. My points will further increase by 5 in march 2020. I can see that the date of submission of EOI is not changed.
Can I expect an Invite? If so, in which category and by when?
