261313 Software Engineer Chance of Invite 2019 Archive

Hi Vivek,
Thanks for your views. I’m also hoping for a better result in September.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Hi Anil,

I have submitted my EOI with 80 points for software engg on aug 9th. With this current situation when do you think I can expect my invitation?

Hi @Getgeo

As I have replied to many people and if you have read it too, chances are fair but are not guaranteed with 80 points if the same low number of invites are continued in Sep and Oct draws.

It seems Australia immigration is waiting for Nov 16 to change the rules and then invite people.

Thanks Anil for that.

I was also looking at 186 direct entry stream, but one of the requirement is 3 years os experience (if not exempted). My total experience is 3 yrs+ but, according to ACS they had accessed on 1 year. Can i still be eligible for this visa?

Regards,
Geo

Hi @Getgeo

Unless the ACS assessment gives you the required relevant experience, you cannot claim it.

My Wife is primary applicant and after marriage Status is like:
EOI Initially Submitted On: 07/05/2019 (Updated after marriage)
EOI Last Submitted On: 02/08/2019 (Date of Effect)
Points - 75 (after receiving 5+ points in experience in Aug)
ANZSCO - 261313
Spouse - Yes - With 261111 Job code (Will get 5+ points after new rule in November)

But her (Primary) ACS will expire in December End. What are our chances before that. Please suggest.

Hi @rvindom

You will have good chance of invitation after Nov 2019 with 80 points.

Hi Anil,

Thanks for the inputs. Just curious is this a ruling issued by govt or just a statement still to be decided in Nov

Thanks
Amith

Hi @Amith_Naik

The immigration law is changed by government.

Hi Anil,
I need you advise mate.
I am on 75 points under 261313(Offshore) and seems very hard in predicting invite under 189.
No hopes on VIC & NSW for state nominations and 1% on 190 QLD when it opens for 190 after Sep10th 2019. So, I need your help mate.

With Nov changes coming in I would like my wife to take English to add a 5 points to me.
She is under recruitment but her degree was under computer science engineering.

Though she has 7 years experience in total, her employment was on and off ( hard to get the documents gathered like pf, forms16’s).

My question is If I just make her sit to PTE, will that 5 points fits me for an invitation in any eligible criteria after November or do you want me to go for an assessment under recruitment category and wait on VIC.

I have burn still more 1 lakh to get this things done.

Let me know my chances on Australia invites or else I will try to drop this idea.
I understand it’s very hard to predict invites but just try out of your experiences.

Hi @ExpatAM22

I suggest to get English test report for your spouse as that will give you 5 points starting November 2019 as per new rule.

This should improve your chances.
All the best.

Thank you Anil for your suggestion.

Hi Amit,

I have submitted my EOI ( Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)) this month with 75 points under ANZSCO Code 261313 (Software Engineer). My partner also has a positive ACS under the same code.
Partner Skills: 5
PTE: 20
Work experience outside Australia:10
Qualifications: 15
Age: 25

When can i expect the invitation? Also, do you suggest filing another EOI for state sponsored visa (190) for an additional 5 points?

Thanks,
Somya

Hi @Somya_P

It is better that you file 190 application too as the chances of invite with 75 points are low at this time. You will extra 5 points on Nov 16 with spouse and then you will have good chance of invite with 80 points.

Hi Anil,

I have updated my EOI ( Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) ) today(14 Sep 2019) with 80 points under ANZSCO Code 261313 (Software Engineer). My partner also has a positive ACS under the Systems Analyst(261112).
Partner Skills: 5
PTE: 20
Work experience outside Australia:10
Qualifications: 15
Age: 30

I have also logged EOI for 190 subclass with 85 points.

What are chances of invitation on each of these categories and when can I expect invitation?

Thanks,
Srinivas

Hi @srinivasch

There is no chance of invite till Nov. You can expect invite after November if the number of invites are increased.

Hi Srini,

I was just wondering if your age is 30 and work experience is 10 is it like you started your career at the age of 20 and no years are deduced by ACS in skill assessment? Just a random thought.

Hi @athul_vijay

Its not 10 years of experience. Its 10 points for my exp

Hi Anil,
Points:80
Subclass:189
I submitted my EOI on 9th July,2019 with 80 points for code 261313. In August, they invited only 100 applicants. Any possibilities of increase in the number invites during October and November for 189. Should I ask my spouse to take up PTE to gain 5 points or wait with 80 points until November to see if there is any increase in the number of invites.
Please note, I will be loosing 5 points by 21st Dec, 2019 on my age.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

@Meenu_Satish It is best to be prepared for the future, it seems conclusive that the low invite trend is not going to change until new November rules come into effect at the least.

If you have an option to increase points, you should always do.
