I am having a very bad experience with passport renounciation with VFS NYC. I submitted my application on Nov 2020. Till now Iam chasing them spending my money for calls close to $114. But no response from them. They missed my prepaid label & didn’t even care to communicate or update anything till I made calls to customer service & enquired them. At last I paid again for my courier label & they did’nt even send me till today. I put queries on pramit. Copied my emails to consulates general of India. I did get a response from consulate saying that they have asked vfs to expedite the service. But after they involved also these guys are not responding. I think Indian embassy’s voice is also not heared there. So waste of time to contact them too. Because of the pressure I created they called me & said they will despatch the passport & I will get it Saturday. But I don’t have tracking details & they have not updated me. I have not received my passport yet. Planning to go to their office directly.
Pls be beware of them. Horrible customer service I have ever seen. Even if you email them through their website you will not get answers of what you want. Pls don’t spend money on calls. Iam advising you from my experience. These guys are sitting in customer service & does’nt even know the info of the application even we know. The processing times are again horrible. After I sent them the application Iam getting the acknowledgement after a week. And I don’t know when they will start to process it. What I heared from embassy in NYC is even after they despatch the passports to them they are not sending it immediately for no reason. So don’t wait if you see a status that your application is despatched from embassy. They are ripping off the customers like this. Such a worst service.
