VFS Passport Renewal - Unable to download shipping label

I had the same issue, called the customer service number and they have sent me a shipping label through email. I have taken the print out and submitted the passport application.

I completed my application as well and despite paying for it, I cannot download courier labels and I also did not receive an email confirmation letter. It says that email confirmation letter sent successfully but I did not receive it.

I am in the same boat as you. Some past answers have said this just takes time and may become available later. Can I ask if you’re doing tatkal or normal?

Did you try logging back in and re-send/download labels and/or confirmation? If the issue persists, reach out to VFS through email and on Twitter.

Yes, it does! For me, I try logging back in the next day probably 24 hours later and it let me download the receipt confirmation and the courier labels. I think the reason why we cannot download the label right away is that the system is set up in a way that the payment has to be processed completely before we can do anything. Basically, they want the money first.

I haven’t shipped my documents yet and its more than 15 days. I struggled a lot to get my documents notarized. Does anybody know what should I do? Do i have to start all over again and file a new application? Please help.

Why? Your application and shipping label (if already paid for) are still active/valid.

Thanks for responding. I thought the documents must be mailed within 15 days after generating the label. The labels were generated on January 19th. Its February 4rth. Its been more than 15 days now. I thought the condition is that the documents must be mailed within 15 days using the generated labels. Am i completely wrong here?

I would also like an answer to this question. I printed mine in Dec but getting the docs together took longer than anticipated and life got in the way :frowning:

Guys, I know this is older post but even after years vfs still didn’t fix issues with label generation :frowning:

Pathetic customer service keeps on sending same generic email response to wait for “sometime” never bother to define that time frame. It’s been 4 days with no resolution. Tried calling them but it is adding charges to my credit card with no resolution. Comedy of error I opted for Tatkal processing. :frowning: :rofl:

Please suggest how to navigate this or what you have done that helped you. Thank you all.

I am facing the same issue. I completed the payment and my credit card was charged like 2 days back but now I am neither able to find my application nor download the label. It throws an error as below. Could you please let me know how you were able to resolve the issue.

Are you referring to the issue of not being able to download the courier label?
Sorry it’s been almost 2 years so i try best of my abilities to recollect the entire incident… what i recollect is that i had to give a day or so and then use a diff. browser and then i was able to download the courier label.

Also, you may want to see if you are not on company vpn or firewall, that also could play a spoilsport.

If above mentioned suggestions doesn’t help, then you may want to reach out to the customer care.

As of today in Sept 2022, I have paid $135 on 9/9/22 for VFS that includes roundtrip courier. I am unable to download courier label since it errors as “There is no record available…” even after I getting Confirmation Email. I tried searching with my ARN but same error. I called VFS but there 5 min grace call is waste and cheap trick. I ended up paying for 2.48$ per min call. Even the agents placed the call on hold and then hung up. I emailed but it takes 24 hrs to reply from them. Does these issue of printing label resolve within a day or so ? Please reply with your experience

I thought after making payment I will be able print the label and ship it . But this worst process is simply wasting time and money. I called VFS agent ,he kept me on hold and then hung up ( cheap way to hide their Inefficiency). Do you know if the ‘download label’ will work after 1 day ?

Hi… I am also facing the same problem, “There is no record…”. I completed my application on 09/08/22. I also got a confirmation email. Neither I can track my application, nor I am able to download the courier label. I submitted a google form informing about the situation yesterday, but didn’t receive any update from their end till now. I also tried to call them, but after 20 mins of waiting period, they hung up.

Hi, were you able to resolve this. . the same is happening for me now. . I am not sure if I have to use my own labels for shipping at this point
