EOI invite in 189 - 233914 - engineering technologist

Hi @Andrew_Samuel

Chances are low if the small number of invites are sent in Sep and Oct draw like they did in Aug 2019.

Hi. Thanks for the clarity.

Does that mean, there wont be invites issued to 80 pts, if the current trend continues?

@Andrew_Samuel It certainly looks that way if you consider the statistics, lets hope for better news in September.

(And that is all we can do… wouldn’t you agree ? )

True. I definitely agree. Let’s wait n watch

Just commenting here to get updates from this thread as I will be launching my invitation on mid November.

I will have 80 points in mid November and I am currently preparing for PTE to get 20 points from there. If I can get 20 points from PTE, then I will have 90 points in total in November. What’s the possible turn around time for getting invitation with 90 points? Thanks

Hi @Md_Oni

If you can really get 90 points, you should get an invite in next draw.

Thanks Anil for the inspiration. You have been fantastic. Have a great day mate!

Hey,
I have 70 points now for engineering technologist (age 30, PhD from Australia 20 and PTE 20). Next month I would get another 10 points for being single. I can also apply for state nomination in VIC and gain 5 points. I cannot claim Australia study requirement points, regional Australia points because mine was a collaborative program and it did not meet the Australian study requirement of 2 years.

  1. So how good is 80 points for independent visa and 85 for state nominated visa? When can I expect the invite if I apply next month?
  2. I had sent three career episodes for Engineers Australia, but they have assessed only my Bachelor’s degree for engineering technologist. However I have a PhD degree now. Is That okay? or will there be a problem

Hi @Raji

80 points might get you 189 invite around Feb 2020 if you file EOI next month.

You can only claim points for the education that has been assessed as positive by assessment agency. If they have not assessed your PHD, then you should not claim its points.

Hi, Thanks. I was told skill assessment and points for education doesn’t really have to correlate. Like I have a PhD from Australian University, however they did not accredit it for engineering technologist. I thought i can give skill assessment information that I have got for Bachelors and submit my PhD degree certificate for 20 points.

Hi @Raji

I do not think this information is correct.

Hi Anil,
Greetings.
I have lodged eoi in July with 70 points and edited in Oct 1st week with 80 points for Engineering Technologist, On Nov 16th My points will be 85 with spouse competent english.
When can I expect the invite with 85 points.

Thanks,
Umair.

Hi @Umair

You should be able to get invite in Dec 2019 draw with 85 points.

Dear Anil,
I have submitted by EOI for the Engineering Technologist role initially in June 20, 2019 with 65 points. Subsequently i got extra points from PTE and work experience. I have now updated the EOI on Oct 22, 2019 with the following
189 section - 80 points
190 section - 90 points (Victoria).
190 section - 70 points from the ACT matrix
Can you please suggest when I might get an invite tentatively?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi @Guruprasadram

You have good chance of invite in either Nov or Dec 2019 draw with 80 points in 189 PR.

I do not have data for state invites and hence cannot estimate.

Oh well, that sounds positive. Thank you Anil. As mentioned in yesterday’s mail, I applied for 190 visa in ACT region. I got an ITA today. But before applying i did not do a proper research as i was more interested in Vic and NSW. Any idea on where i can research about ICT Business analyst / Business development job opportunities in ACT. Thy have given 14 days to respond. I am wondering about next steps! whether to wait for 189 or explore state sponsorship. Need our two cents

Thanks in advance for the info.

Dear Anil,

Thank you very much for you guidance and support.

Since long i was enthusiastic to clear my few doubts and get guidance in the following 3 cases. Please respond them in detail I will be highly obliged.

Profile: (IT Engineer) - My points are as:
Age: 30
Education: 15
PTE: 20
NAATI : 5
Exp : 5 points ( 4 years of Exp) - International

Total : 75

  1. I got Skill assessment for Comp Sys n Network Engineer and ACS deducted to 2 years of experience, so I lodged EOI at 70 for 189 and @ 75 for 190 in April. But As NSW requires 1 year of experience for 190 for this occupation so i withdrew my EOI for 190 and left for 189.
What are the chances for 189 @ 70 as I am single so after November It will be 80.

  2. To save my experience, i got qualification assessment by EA and they gave me for Engineering Technologist, i didn’t assess my experience to save my self from any trouble. (As it is not mandatory), so for What are the chances for 189 @ 75 for Eng Technologist, as I am single so after November It will be 85 and i lodged EOI 1 months ago. When can i get invite.

  3. With the above mentioned profile can i apply for 190 Victoria or Canberra for Eng Technologist or do i have any other option, i dont know much about 190 Victoria or Canberra for Eng Technologist or if i have any other possible option. Please guide me.

Looking forward to hear from you Dear.

Thank you in advance.

Regards
Hafiz

Hi @Hafizsuliman91

You will have good chance of invite with 80 or 85 points after November 2019 draw.

My suggestion is to select ‘all’ states in your Skillselect EOI.
