You should be worried only if your case receipt date has passed the ‘USCIS Service Request Date’. In that case, you can call USCIS and ask for status update.
Hi, My US citizen son filed I-130 and my priority date in on Oct 9,2018.
USCIS service center is Nebraska. My case is still the same " Case Was Received" Please advise when should expect approval? Anytime soon?

Brother I filed my wife papers i130 form on 23 January 2019 and uscis received on 29 January, my priority date is 29 January as well, in Texas service center. I am us citizen, can you please tell me how long its gonna take more to approve petition? Any idea ? In coming months?

There are two charts shared by USCIS every month.
Dates of Filing chart
The dates when you are eligible to file i485 green card application if your I130 is already approved and you are in US.
Final Action date chart
The dates when your date is current and you should should a i485 application. If you are outside US, you will get a call from NVC for green card interview.

You have to wait till the ‘USCIS service date’. The best case approval date only indicates that some cases have been approved till that date.
Your case may or may not be approved with same speed.

So I have a question, sorry but last week I checked the uscis processing table in the taxes service center for I-130 they were on September 15 now they’re all the way back to July?

USCIS has moved back their official dates by 2 months. They are experiencing delays in processing applications.

As I checked 10 days ago the Texas processing time was in December for us citizens and my case was so near but now it’s 2 month extra wait , will it get close again ! And when will be the next update of uscis 130 processing time ?

The next update will probably in about 30-60 days. Nobody can tell when exactly as USCIS does not share it.

Great article! I hope you can give me some advice as to what I should do.
I filed I-130 for my sister back in 2011 and received Notice of Action that said USCIS received my petition and the priority date was Dec. 16, 2011. This is the only correspondence I’ve ever gotten from USCIS. Nothing else since that one notice.
We are almost in June 2019. After calling their service center a few times and getting the same response - we received your petition in December 2011, wait to hear from us, I am now concerned that the case has been lost or misplaced.
Is this normal to not receive anything in almost 8 years since they received my original petition?? By the way, I filed it in California.
Is there anything else I can do to find out its status (their website “Case Status” online shows the same as the letter I received from them, nothing else)?

You are not alone as USCIS do take multiple years and in some cases decades to approve the application.
The case processing time varies by the sponsor’s US status like Green card or US citizen and then the relationship between you and your family member.
Check the chart given on our website and then see if the normal processing time is taking 8+ years for other applications or not.
Hi Anil does the recent points based green card system apply to people like me? ( US citizen already applied gc in dec 2018 for my spouse who lives in India) we both are indian born
