Thanks for replying so quickly! I am a US citizen and applied for my sister.

I looked at the processing times on both your site and USCIS processing times and not clear on which dates I am supposed to refer to.

Which should I pay attention to?

The USCIS site showed April 2009. Does that mean that they are currently processing applications that they received in April of 2009 or what?

How does Priority Date on the letter I received - which was December 2011, correlate to that date?

The dates on USCIS site are meant to raise a service request if your caseā€™s receipt is older than this date.
The priority date mentioned on your letter can be used to match this date.

There is no points based green card system launched yet and will not be implemented in near future.
It is just a proposal that Trump wants and has said that he will bring it is as law when he wins next yearā€™s election.

So is it completely normal that Iā€™ve never received any other correspondence from them since that one letter - Receipt Notice back in 2011? I would expect something notifying that they are reviewing my case and if they need any additional information, they will let me knowā€¦or something to that extendā€¦Just seems odd that there has been nothing from them in almost 8 yearsā€¦

USCIS will send a formal letter by USPS if they need more information on your case or have taken a decision.

You can also create an online account on USCIS website and then add your case number to receive status updated by email and text as and when any action is taken.

Hi Anil,

I have an i-130 petition pending. I want to know somethingā€™s about this,

  1. Once we file petition, does the USCIS center are automatically allotted or our attorney lawyer selects?

  2. When we filed petition the status of my spouse was LPR and now itā€™s Citizenship from past 60days and already sent case upgarde letter to USCIS center they have sent back confirmation letter as well as per the lawyer, so how much time it will take to get case approved at California center and does case upgarde status can be checked online as well?

  3. Iā€™ve just read your treads and found that CSC doesnā€™t handle IR , so how long they will take to transfer my case.

Your attorney sends the I130 application at the correct center based on your address and filing instructions.

The USCIS confirmation letter is the proof of upgrade of your application from LPR to US citizen.

My wife (green card holder) filed an I-130 (F2A) with priority date 19/january/2018, California Center. I have two questions:

  1. Which would be the estimate date to receive approval for the I-130?

  2. Why the dates for filing family-sponsored visa applications in the visa bulletin of May and June changed from 08/january/2018 to 08/march/2019? Is that normal? What does it mean if my priority date is 19/january/2018?

The dates in monthly USCIS visa bulletin are expected to move ahead or back every month.

USCIS moves the dates based on how many green cards are available in that month for the category that you filed your application in.

It means that I can start next steps of the green card even though I have not received approval of the I-130 yet?

I have a reciept date of oct 4 2018 and i have not been approved yet. i filed an i 130 for spouse and Iā€™m a citizen. when can i expect to get approved.

The ā€˜date of filingā€™ chart in USCIS monthly visa bulletin can only be used to file Green card application if your I-130 has already been approved.

If I-130 is pending, you cannot do anything but just wait.

Now is showing of may 2018
