Thanks for the update. Did you hear anything else on police verification? My application is showing as initiated for printing but havent got any communication on police verification.
Nothing further on police verification. I donāt think police verification was actually needed, I just acted prematurely. The email from the govt. email indicated that if the police verification does not happen within 3 weeks, contact the local police department. Hopefully, the passport will be mailed soon.
it is very slow at embassy/consulate also. they received my application on 11/16 tatkal. same status nothing moved in last 3 days
I applied for tatkal & yesterday during USA hrs status got changed to āPassport is printed and will be delivered shortly.āā¦ Later in the evening got automated email for police verification.
Police verified during their day at my Indian address.
I still see same status till now.
Hoping to get passport by tomorrow
Thanksā¦Nobody is residing at my Indian address (its our flat which is closed). My parents are not living in same town so not sure how the police verification will happen even if police visits my Indian address.
Anyone else in similar situation please your experiences.

I donāt think so ā¦because I got the same email from vfs even I forgot to put the return label along with the documents.2 days has passed but still i dint get any new email from vfs.
Police asked the copy of the same document i provided [my Aadhar copy] plus my spouse Aadhar copy.
As far as i know, they check with neighbors if no one at homeā¦ If any of your neighbour can help in getting their contact# {Officer come for verification} & share with you / your parentā¦ you can close that

I received email around 4 PM, so there is a chance that you may get. Also, doesnāt look like things are consistent at VFS, so if not today, then probably in next couple days.
Not yet. Mine is delivered on 11/13. But didnāt get any notification
