I got the same reply from vfs today. What does it mean? I forgot to put return label that’s y they dint send to embassys.plz share the information if any one have the same case.
lets hope for the best… I will reply and keep posted when i get a reply.
Have you sent return envelope as well?
Return label should be there in the main packet that i sent earlier. I just mailed them the Self-sworn affidavit with the VFS email requesting the missing doc.
Yes, you should send to the same SF address as in the initial label, it’s as below:
INDIAN CONSULAR APPLICATION CENTRE VFS OFFICE
FLOOR 5, 228 GRANT AVE
SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94108 UNITED STATES US
I got the following response from VFS SFO after 4 days of receiving the missing document .
Dear Applicant,
Your Application has been ‘Processed’ at the ICAC and ‘In Transit’ to the Embassy for decision making.
As soon as ICAC receives an update, the status on the ‘Track and Trace’ page will be revised accordingly. To ‘Track and Trace’ please visit: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/usa/en/ind/track-application and use your tracking ID to get the updated status of your application.
Since it is forwarded to Embassy, u can track the status at counsular website using Gove Ref#
Track Status : Passport Seva at Indian Embassies and Consulates
Ya…It happened to me as well …Annexure E should be - Notarized (with Stamp and Notary Signatory)
Hey Roheet, one quick question:-
I am currently stuck in final courier step, just wanted to know after giving my home address in the courier service box; will there be two labels generated. One to send the courier to VFS office and the other to return back home?
Thanks!
Yes, it will generate two labels (2 PDF pages). VFS address will be auto populated based on your center you already choose
- Your home address to VFS
- VFS to your Home [this one you should send along with Application]
Yes, use the same address that you used to send documents before. You’ll need to use your own shipping since the earlier label is already used.
I had the same email in last stage. This just means they received your documents and are processing it at VFS before they send it to embassy.
As a side note, everyone who has had some missing documents never got this as first message (they send out an email saying what documents are missing instead). So, my assumption is they are sending this message to everyone whose documentation is complete as a first check. They’ll process it and you’ll get “application has been forwarded to the embassy” in a week or so (at least that’s how it worked for me).
Seems they are moving faster now. I just got an email that my application is processed at ICAC and In Transits to the embassy for decision making.
@srini2013 - Current status on government site updated as below.
Application - Normal
Timeline as below
11/10 - Fedex package sent
11/11 - Received by VFS
11/12 - Email confirmation of receipt from VFS
11/13 - Dispatched to embassy email from VFS
No other emails received updates from VFS or embassy. Havent received any police verification email/SMS/call either.
Hoping this helps
Great. Keep checking the status . Next status is "Passport has been printed. " you will see by EOD today. Mine is updated on the same day. waiting for the next status today.
I completed the payment step but it did not re-direct back to the vfsglobal web page. The payment has gone through but I do not see a customer entry in the vfsglobal portal and I’m unable to print labels. Has anyone faced this issue?
I also faced same issue. Just wait for two days and you will able to see courier label.
Thanks for responding. My missing doc delivered on 11/17 still waiting for a response
Update from VFS (just received the email). Hopefully, they’ll mail it out tonight/tomorrow. Pathetic that they didn’t even bother to change/insert correct verbiage the generic email template
On the govt website, my status is updated as- “Passport has been printed”. No updates/email from VFS yet (their status still says that the application has been forwarded, not even delivered to the embassy!).
It is surprising given how slow things have been so far. Hopefully, VFS NYC is able to keep up their pace with NY embassy’s lightning speed.
Thanks looks like both our applications are running in parallel :-)…Good luck…
