police officer called my parents after receiving the SMS for the documents verification. He will come for the verification tomorrow. The email received from the embassy shows police station from my home address but the officer is coming from the different police station near by my address.Not sure how they assign the officers for the verification.

As per the email, " You are requested to get in touch with the respective Police Office if verification is not done in three weeks."

Still my fedex tracking number showing the status as " Estimated delivery date:

Pending" and " Label created"

Hopefully the status will be updated by EOD today.

did you get the similar notification from VFS for the shipping? Any other notifications from VFs after this ?

Nope. I have provided my US address and US phone number in emergency contact details. You should provide india address and india phone number in “passport printable address details”

If you have not received any call/SMSin the next 3 weeks , better to contact the police station mentioned in your email for the documents verification.if you know someone, they can call P.S and go to P.S with supported documents like adhar card or something else for the proof.

Hi there, I had applied for both my son and wife together…Here is the timeline for my wife passport:

Fedex delivered the package - 11/11
Acknowledgement from VFS - 11/12
VFS Processed and transit to Embassy - 11/17
Embassy received - 11/17
Passport Print initiated - 11/17
Passport Printed - 11/18
Passport back to VFS - 11/19
Passport shipped back after processing - 11/20.

My location is NY and it is regular processing.

My son’s application is going very slow still says at embassy processing

I recently received my Greencard (In August) …I was on H1B before, Do I need to submit a copy of both green card and H1B approval for “Valid Status in the USA” proof?

I submitted the application on Monday 11/16 and it was delivered on Tuesday 11/17. There is no status update. Is there any one who submitted to SFO consulate in these time frames and got any updates.

My application was received by VFS on 11/12 and I got notification on 11/18. So yes, it took 5 business days. You can expect anytime soon. If not today then may be Monday.

technically not required both but good to submit if you have valid h1b status copy as well. if you are planning to send both the copies , Make sure you mention both the documents names in your notary doc.
