I received a email today from VFS on receiving the application.
How long does it take to receive the passport after police verification is done in India?I submitted mine to the SF consulate under normal processing
Dumb question: Is Government reference number same as ARN Number?
My first name and last name are just one word and Iām still not able to print courier labels. Its giving me invalid session error. Any suggestions?
I have sent the documents via VFS shipping(Fedex) on Wednesday(11/18/2020) and it got delivered on Thursday(11/19/2020) morning to SFO application center. But there is no confirmation email so far from VFS. Also, I am not able to track in the VFS - https://www.vfsvisaonline.com/Global-PassportTracking/. I am getting " Invalid Inputs.".
Anyone experienced this? Any idea how long it will take them to confirm my application is received 
? I have sent an email to VFS support, but no idea.

My passport has address in Bengaluru. I have left for rental via property management. I want to retain the address in passport to avoid address change information. My parents are in Chennai, If I give my parents Chennai mobile number will it be problem for Police Verification.

@Kbtron No, it is normal processing. For some reason i got lucky with processing of my wife application fast. My son application submitted the same time is still with embassy and the status has not changed in last 5 days.
Same here. I submitted my application & docs (tatkal)on 11/17/2020 and it got delivered on 11/18/2020 afternoon 1:00 PM VFS NY . so far no confirmation email and not able to track also. āInvalid inputsā
today I raised a complaint with the support stating the same , If any update from them I shall keep you all posted.

What is status of processing for your applicationā¦mine was received on 20th for Minor ā¦so i shall expect receipt by Friday if they will be working this whole week else sometime next week.

@gobu - Post police verification seems to be mandatory and they do visit the premises which you list as your Indian address and ask for documents related to the same. In my case (Mumbai) they are asking for electricity bill - latest as well as year back one as well. I had no change in address however police verification was still triggered.
Incase police is not able to be validate, I have read on other forums that you may face some issues next time you travel to India and would need a Police clearance certificate to leave from India. Police verification is very much real inspite of you getting the passport in hand.
You need Notarize Annexure E, I didnāt do initially, and received email missing Annexure E Notary. this is mandatory for SF center.
I saw Printing initiated status on last Thu and then next day it was Passport printed. But since then no change in the status. Meanwhile there was a police verification going in India, which my parents completed on Sunday. So I am hoping the status should move further either today or tomorrow.
I believe it is at the last stage. They have printed the new passport but not forwarded to VFS yet. May be they are waiting for police verification from India. not sure thoughā¦
@Anoop_George I just received an email about the same. In the email they have asked to email it after scanning it. Can you please let me know if you had to email or physical mail?
