no, i also called them, they dont see any updates in their system. it is waste of money and time.
it seems consulate not received my copy from them. still it is pending with VFS…

Looks like we might be in same boat. My application is with consulate and no update for last 1 week. The status on Govt. website shows “under review” for last 1 week. Mine is Chicago consulate.

Have you guys heard any updates from embassy ? How long has it been under review ?

Same for me - the status has been passport printing has been initiated for more than a week - how long does it take to print the passport?? The fact of communication is extremely frustrating

Next they will handover the passport to vfs and status should changed to related verbiage…

Did u got any update for your query for Valid status, i am also on same boat.
I moved from L1 to H1, my wife status is still pending for H4, L1 already expired.

Here is an update: Just checked my status today and there is an update.

From “Passport application along with fee details have been received. The same is under processing at the Embassy/Consulate.”

To: Passport application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate.

I have applied for my passport renewal in tatkal process SFO on Nov 23rd,2020. I see my application has been delivered next day Nov24, 2020. The url https://www.vfsvisaonline.com/Global-PassportTracking is throwing Invalid token request message. Is there any way I can contact them. I see, people didn’t get any reply. It’s really frustrating. My passport was expired August 2020. Not sure, whether I’m elgible to apply for my renewal in tatkal process.

They said they escalated the issue with concerned department and will get back answer in 24-48 hours i.e. on 29th.

If you reply on email then new person responds who have no clue about what was the issue.

Finally, today (12/03/2020) I have received email from vfs asking for following docs.

FedEx delivered date 11/24. Washington D.C

We are awaiting the following documents

    1. Please send 2 new recent photographs. Follow the proto requirements: an attire should be dark, white background and natural lightning.
  2. Affidavit for change of appearance & Signature
  3. Self-Sworn Affidavit
  4. Photograph

Latest update: As of now

I submitted my Kid’s application on 6th November initially. I got all documents and passport returned to me on 11th Nov with one document requires notarized and one correction on the form.
I resubmitted all my documents on 12th Nov, 13th Nov VFS received
On 17th Nov it went to Consulate - SFO - Status as Received forms and fee
On 24th Nov - Status changed to reviewing the documents
On 28th Nov received a mail for Police verification in Bangalore and no one has contacted till now.
On 2nd Dec Police called my Sister-in-Law and gave his number to contact him
we called him as sent Consent Form from us (Parents) and attached his last two passports first and last copy

Waiting for Passport Print :slight_smile: once Consulate receive confirmation from Police.

What should be done in case where there is no ack since 18 Nov …Esp from NYC VFS …shall we complain in Embassy/Pramit

I reached out the VFS helpline and SF consulate got different answers. Based on the reply from SF Consulate went ahead and submitted documents with I797C (Receipt).

You may provide the recent I-797 and they will accept your application.

@Jay22 Hi, I am also in the same situation. I have applied for the minor passport at SFO office. The Police verification will be done shortly at India address.

May I know what documents to be submitted to the police at India address… during police verification? I will inform my parents about the process upfront.
