Yes… may visit their office snd it will be done right away. Because from remotely nothing could be fixed early in our time frame and convenient .

The FedEx return label is part of the same label which they would have scanned when your passport and documents would have reached them. That’s why it would be showing label generated. Looking at your case, it’s still with VFS and they might not have given it to FedEx yet. Looking at the history, if it’s SFO and the worse than SFO is NY Indian consulate, I would suggest you to wait for few more days as it would get updated. Sorry to say it’s a mess with VFS Global.
VFS is an useless organization with zero accountability. I would be more than surprised if they will respond to you with a meaningful answer. At the same time there is no other way, keep asking VFS through mail, you might get lucky to get a response
VFS Global NY were sitting on my documents for 6 weeks, not sure why they have to warm the documents for weeks sitting on it before they send to NY Indian consulate. VFS Global does not have any sort of accountability and is a major bottleneck in this whole red tapism and meaningless process, not to mention the spineless NY consulate who is watching this inconvenience and stress caused to people because of these acts by VFS Global NY. Hope NY consulate from their slumber and fix this rotten process and system.
Nope they do not allow.My daughter’s passport is with them since 20th Nov and attempted once in NYC but security didnt allow me they said office is closed for visitors

Someone needs to sit on fasting protest in front of Indian embassy to get VFS out of this business.
@sagar_shah I am in the same boat. I received police verification Email but no one reached out and My passport already printed.
Do you think there will be any follow up for police verification? Did you happened to have any verification after receiving the passport?
It is same with me. Passport is already printed and no one contacted my parents back at home. But they did receive SMS that there will be police verification within 10 days. Yesterday my dad called at that number and police said to wait for 21 days. Someone will definitely contact them.

Yes, my parents did later get contacted and they went to the police station for verification.

The return label address (my address) is not printed correctly. It’s missing space in 2 words. Will that be a problem? Has anyone else faced this problem?

Hello everyone, this is my experience with VFS, SFO for normal adult passport renewal.
Got spouse name added and updated Indian Address.
11/13 - Package dropped at Fedex location
11/16 - Package received at VFS center
11/19 - Got email that application received
11/21 - Got email from VFS, Your Application has been ‘Processed’ at the ICAC and ‘In Transit’ to the
Embassy for decision making.
12/08 - Received email for Police verification
01/11 - Received email from VFS, Your Application has been reviewed by the Embassy of India/ Consulate General of India & will be dispatched within 24 – 48
01/15 - VFS dispatched the renewed passport
01/19 - Received passport
Few things to highlight:
- Police verification took almost a month as no one contacted my parents. Eventually they have to visit assigned police station to get an update.
- Embassy took 2 weeks before initiating Poilice verification
- VFS received renewed passpot but VFS office was closed due to Covid, still they dispatched the passport in a week.

01/05 - VFS received application
01/08 - reviewing
01/12 - VFS dispatched back my documents thru FedEx with some tracking number.
I still see Label generated on my fedex number. No progress from 01/12. I called/ mailed no proper response. Can someone suggest anything or any one with same issue?
I received my daughter’s passport today exactly after 60 days…They emailed yesterday saying it has been fedexed when i tried fedex tracking it was showing me label created even right now it is saying so but it got delivered this morning…
SF Passport renewal:
After Police verification done, my passport status finally changed from “Under review” to “Passport application has been granted” on 01/15/2021
Anyone has this status before? How long it will take to get the Print status?
After submitting my passport application package on Monday, I got a request for additional documentation from VFS Today:
We have “Recieved” your Application however we are unable to proceed with the application due to the following reasons:

Incomplete Applications: Please complete your application within 7 calendar days by sending “the above listed missing documents along with a printout of this email” to VFS India Consular Application Centre where you had initially submitted your application. You will need to use your own “Pre-paid” label to send the missing documents. Failure to complete your application as per the stipulated timeframe will result in returning your application unprocessed.
Question:
I had sent my original package via FedEx (VFS Preferred Vendor). Should the additional documents be also sent via FedEx? Any thoughts?
